The Wonder Society - Mock Trial Academy
Terms of EnrollmentEnrollment in The Wonder Society - Mock Trial Academy ("the Program") constitutes acceptance of the following terms by the enrolling parent or legal guardian on behalf of the enrolled child ("Child"):
1. Assumption of Risk. Participation in the Program involves activities including public speaking, role-play, and courtroom-style exercises, which carry an inherent risk of accidental injury. By enrolling Child, the enrolling parent or guardian assumes this risk on Child's behalf.
2. Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the enrolling parent or guardian releases The Wonder Society - Mock Trial Academy and its instructor(s) from claims arising from Child's participation in the Program, excluding injury caused solely and exclusively by the instructor’s own gross negligence.
3. Indemnification. The enrolling parent or guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Wonder Society - Mock Trial Academy and its instructor(s) from any claim, loss, or damage arising from Child's own negligent or intentional acts or omissions during the Program.
4. Medical Authorization. In the event of an emergency and if the enrolling parent or guardian cannot be reached, the Program's instructor(s) are authorized to seek emergency medical treatment for Child, at the enrolling parent or guardian's expense.
By completing enrollment, the enrolling parent or guardian acknowledges having read and agreed to these terms on behalf of Child.

Behavior and Removal Policy
The Wonder Society - Mock Trial Academy is committed to providing a safe, respectful learning environment for all participants. To that end:
The Program reserves the right to remove a child from a session or from the Program entirely if, in the instructor's reasonable judgment, the child's behavior is disruptive to other participants, poses a safety concern, or persists despite reasonable efforts to address it.
Before removal for repeated behavioral issues (as opposed to an immediate safety concern), the Program will make reasonable efforts to communicate the concern to the enrolling parent or guardian and consider reasonable accommodations. Removal for an immediate safety concern may occur without prior notice.
No refund will be issued for sessions missed as a result of removal under this policy.
This policy is applied consistently to all participants and is not used to exclude a child on the basis of disability. The Program will consider reasonable accommodations for a child with a disability where doing so would not pose a safety risk to other participants or fundamentally alter the nature of the Program.tion text goes here

Drop-Off and Pickup Policy
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled times listed for each Program. Parents or guardians have the option to drop off and leave the premises during the session but must remain reachable by phone at all times and able to return to the premises within 10 minutes of being contacted.
Pickup must occur within 5 minutes of the session's scheduled end time.
If a child has not been picked up within 15 minutes of the session's end time and the enrolling parent or guardian cannot be reached, the Program will attempt to contact the emergency contact provided at enrollment. If no emergency contact person can be reached within 30 minutes of the session's end time, the Program will contact local non-emergency law enforcement to assist. The Program is not licensed childcare and cannot supervise a child beyond the scheduled session time.
